This is a series of posts called, Got Milk? It underscores the longstanding roadblock to the church manifesting the life of sons, and daughters of God. If one were to include a snapshot the finest of earth’s crop of humanity, and ship it off in a shuttle to the distant reaches of the universe so that whatever life-form finds it, would thereby be informed of the best talent our planet offers in the world of: jurisprudence, artistry, religion, military, sports, entertainment, philosophy, medicine, science etc. These are expressions of humanity in our very finest form.
In the area of economics specifically, but for this purposes we extend it to all background disciplines, a kind of limit of achievement is usually referred to as a glass ceiling. This is a metaphor applied to unbreachable careers barriers that keeps minorities, and women from rising to the upper rungs of the corporate ladder—that person will have reached the limits of their potential growth in that context. When humanity has maximized their potential, we will have reached our best state in life, when we are in our best form, we are magnates, and titans of industry, glamour, and fame; yet God says we all together vanity…… because we will yet fall like a man, and die like a prince—we live in houses of clay; whose foundation is in the dust of the earth where we return; failing to receive the gift of god that he offers to us in Christ, we are as easily disposed of as a moth.
Even though this is something that is a gift given to us by God himself, Eve was offered a shortcut to get there, now the woe of all humanity. Darwin offers a similar deal in evolution hinting that man has evolved from something, and is evolving to some nebulous potential in some unspecified future time, and the world has gotten in line. God says I am your Potential, and I am here for your transformation into that potential…..I say you are gods, and that cannot be broken, until the heavens be no more.
By volume, Jesus is greater than what room Moses has to accommodate him, so he says even the least in my kingdom who has accommodated, me is greater than Moses, or all the prophets, and wise men together.
Because in our best state we cannot know nor receive his offering, God says: behold, I take away from my city, from Jerusalem and from Judah: the judge, the prudent, the prophet, the ancient, the honorable, the captain of fifty, the mighty man, the man of war, the eloquent orator, and the cunning artist— …..their knowledge in the wisdom of this world, whereby they cannot know me limit them, so they cannot grow up into me by it. Even of Moses it is said; behold, a greater than Moses is here….the Lord from heaven fashioned without hands for your new home, and covering of God.
The roadblock to this change has to do with limiting ourselves to a particular diet of the simple milk of God’s word, the elementary oracles of the principles of Christ which guarantees a glass ceiling growth potential for us a babes, unless we change our diets to one of strong meat for the full measure of the stature of our potential. Only problem is this strong meat is hard to: speak, hear, know, understand, or received. It is unlawful for man because it exceeds his mortal limits, hence the new wineskin given us in Christ to contain the new wine of all God’s fullness. These posts from the beginning to the present highlight a breadcrumb trail to get us beyond this glass ceiling of mortal limitations, and open the gift of God in us—Christ Jesus, the Lord from—a heavenly tabernacle to swallow up our mortal house of clay during our present life that is now…….. 1 John 3:2— Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Genesis 1:24-26 God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
