It was about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which by interpretation means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”. It is said by such things that he suffered Jesus discovered the will of his father. Life after betrayal brings you into a whole different world made more difficult when you know the traitor is in heaven, and his name is God your Father. Upon this realization Jesus begged this question, why have you forsaken me? After sowing seeds of the things for God to show up as your life in you, it is then God’s job to make it grow. The seed has God’s spiritual DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) marker on it. I can’t become anything other than him. You should never labor under the misapprehension, nor think it strange that death is anything but an unsavory process, and it’s God’s job to do the killing. That seed must die before it can grow, and he is the devouring fiery trials to do the job. He says—look at them all….they are all surprised to see me; what did they think I was. Failure to obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus is usually a result of being ignorant of heaven’s psychological operations warfare designed to ensure the demise of the old man so none of his artifact appears in the new man receiving the glory of Jesus.
When we sowed our seeds, broadcasting the work of God for our lives to take the shape of those words sown, we did not expect this. After Abraham laid out his sacrifice before God, he then of necessity engaged in a seemingly endless vigil of driving away the hungry crows until he succumbed to weariness and fell into a deep REM sleep. There an horror of great darkness fell upon him, and God then appeared to him speaking; apprising him of the future ahead for him, and his descendants. Four hundred years of cruel bondage awaited them after which he, the Almighty would forge a nation out of a little flock, and through them make Abraham the father of many nations.
Any son of whom God approves of, he brings through this crucible, demanding…what is the chaff to the wheat—how can you compare the outer husk which I destroy to reach to the kernel, the true value of the wheat? Heb.11—Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. 1Pet.1:6—Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations (whereby God perfects us). Every man has to do his own dying—every man has to do his own believing—if you are going to be the son of God who has no grandchildren, but only sons, that are no bastards and proven by the flames of hell to be so.
That believing that a man does, is the life of God in him….the living, breathing, walking around knowledge of God refined in him through trial and error—exercising his senses to discern the will of God. In this process Jeremiah cried 20:7—O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. Jeremiah 15:18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed ? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? We reached out to receive something form God. We did not expect this, but having endured, afterwards he gives us more than we had sufficient ambition to ask him for.
Though we say we are perfect, it would be a mistake for us to think that are already perfect. What makes that confession true however is our leaning toward perfection. Our leaning is like the stars and stripes found in some remote corner of the globe. You see it, and it is the embodiment of all things American. When hell sees your leaning, they immediately know what you’re about. Though you are not in heaven yet, you are defended by all the might of heaven, on foreign soil. You are a remote outpost of heaven in a foreign land. An embassy located in foreign countries, are actually “an acre” of the home country’s very real estate that is located in a host country, and though very far away it is under all the governing apparatus that guide the home country. All the laws of the home country’s government are enforced there, and the host country has no say in the matter. You are heaven, or the kingdom of heaven located somewhere other than where heaven known to be, and not diminished in any glory, or might, or majesty. For this to be true God has a furnace through all candidates for sonship-ambassadors are subjected.
In this process, heaven rolls out the good cop, bad cop routine, and it is in real-life-time mode…the gun is really loaded, this is no virtual pain to the old man, he is going down, and what comes up afterward is not even recognizable in contrast to what went down. The bad cop is the “unjust judge”. Like Jacob, you have in your hand the “writ” of the first born document, which you wrestled from your brother, legal, and enforceable by the conscience of God. In spite of the fact that you are in unimpeachable legal form, now God, the unjust judge replies to your assertions—……Well, about that document? Ahhhhhh, I want you to release me from my obligation to fulfill my part of it. This Jacob cannot believe. Here, God is playing a rogue judge. He want’s out of a legal binding obligation to perform his promise. So the wrestling begins—a no holds barred, smash mouth, no sniveling, no whining, no time limit WWF contest begins. As dawn approaches the cry goes up…..”let me go” the reply “No chance….not till you bless me. I am not prepared to go on in life without the blessings of Goodness.” That kind of leaning could not be mistaken by the gates of hell and God was pleased.
You’ve got to hold God’s hand to the fire and prove him to be true because he cannot lie, and where the unjust judge would have you believe he is false you have to prove him true; though they find in your dead cold fist, the God’s promissory note that you died insisting upon his performance and would not relent upon your death… you would not relent for you know that God is true and not false, nor slack about his promises. Like Abraham’s faith of God who swore that in Isaac shall the continuance of your lines be; Abraham said even if I kill him God will have to raise him up for he cannot lie. Even if you die holding to his promise he will have to send someone to raise you up to to receive that promise in your heart which is yes, and amen..NO WAVERING.
The bad cop, the unjust judge brings to the outer limits of your human strength and measure. There just beyond that limit you see the righteous judge with your reward…exceeding greater than you had hoped or thought to ask of God.
